How To Get Emergency Medical Treatment Following A Car Wreck
Right now, we’re in unprecedented times because of the pandemic that we’re all experiencing. Emergency rooms are overflowing. People are flocking there for treatment from the COVID virus. Going to the emergency room after a wreck right now might not be in your best interest. And in some counties, it’s not even an option, as hospitals are overwhelmed dealing with the pandemic. We’ve seen clients in certain situations be denied emergency medical care on the side of the road because ambulance companies are hesitant to come to the scene because of the pandemic.
So what can you do if you’ve been in a wreck? Well, the most important thing for you to do is to get treatment right away. If you’ve been injured, you need to have your injuries documented, and you also need treatment so that you can recover from those injuries and they don’t linger or worsen.
If you can’t go to the ER in your area because it’s overflowing or the wait is too long, you can try calling your primary care physician and scheduling an immediate appointment. Some places are even offering telehealth visits. So if you can’t come into your doctor’s physical office, they’ll at least look at you on a computer screen and give you an assessment.
You can also try an urgent care facility in your area. Urgent cares have far shorter waiting times, and most of them are equipped with X-ray equipment so that you can at least get an essential examination and a diagnosis and begin a treatment plan.
Finally, if you have a chiropractor that you’re already maintenance treatment with, your chiropractor can give you an examination, evaluation and start a treatment plan. The most important thing is that you get examined right away, so you know what your injuries are, and you can get some treatment to get better. And once you’re on the road to recovery, you can call John and me, and we’ll get your case resolved.
