Injury Attorney John Alday has lived in Cobb County since he was in high school. He graduated summa cum laude from Berry College, earning a degree in Communications with minors in Creative Writing and Film Studies. While at Berry, John was awarded the Forensic Team’s Richard E. Garvey Leadership Award by his teammates and coaches. At graduation, John was honored to be the student speaker.

John then obtained his Master’s of Arts degree from Georgia Southern University. While in Statesboro, John worked as a teacher’s assistant, as a writing tutor to both undergraduate and graduate students, and coordinated the film program.

For law school, John went to the University of Georgia, graduating cum laude. While in law school, John was the Executive Notes Editor of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law.

After law school, John served as the law clerk for Judge Toby Prodgers in Cobb County State Court. His duties included reviewing and researching motions pending before the Court and providing recommendations to the Court on how various civil and criminal issues should be determined.

For nine years, John practiced as both an associate and a partner at one of metro Atlanta’s premier insurance defense firms, which primarily does work for one of the nation’s largest insurance companies. Over his time at the firm, he worked on every aspect of the claims process from handling pre-suit settlement demands and evaluations through trial and appeal. His work also included arguing before the Court of Appeals multiple times.

John has tried multiple personal injury cases to verdict all over the state of Georgia including cases involving automobile negligence, punitive damage allegations, and slip and fall/premises liability claims.

In his spare time, he enjoys reading, movies, and going to concerts. He also continues his efforts to learn the guitar and cook.
