Six Strings III: A Concert to Benefit McKenna Farms
Bobby and John have each resided in Cobb County for most of their lives. When they started their downtown Marietta law firm in 2017, they wanted to make sure they were giving back to the community—both through charitable donations and by bringing amazing music to Marietta. Since 2017, Bobby and John have brought Mike Cooley of the Drive-By Truckers and Rhett Miller of the Old 97s to Marietta to raise money for the American Cancer Society and Communities in Schools. These concerts have raised more than $20,000. While the COVID pandemic prevented Bobby and John from putting on a show in 2020, they are honored to bring Six Strings back to the historic Strand theater with Six Strings III: A Concert to Benefit McKenna Farms.
McKenna Farms’ mission is to provide innovative therapeutic programs and resources for children with special needs and their families. With over 23 therapists, they treat over 500 children (age zero to 21) every week. McKenna Farms provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy as well as therapeutic riding on their horses. They offer these resources for children with autism, developmental delay, Down Syndrome, and any number of other needs. McKenna Farms is currently raising money to begin doing aqua therapy to add to their therapeutic services, which are provided for children throughout Cobb County and the metro area.
On November 12, 2021, Bobby and John are proud to bring platinum-selling artist Cracker to the Strand. Cracker, originally from Richmond, Virginia, has been consistently putting out amazing music since the early 1990s and continues to amaze audiences with their live show. Please do whatever you can to come to see some mind-blowing music in the heart of Marietta and raise money for a truly important charity!
